At The Knights
Home Is Right Around The Corner
At The Knights, we have an interesting history with the original building serving as a hotel. This allows us to use the many large rooms for activities and amenities. At The Knights has continued to grow throughout the years to meet the needs of various owners, residents, and the families they served.
Our Accomodations
These apartments can be set up as a private room, or friendship style living quarters. Meal times are spent in our expansive open concept dining room with full service waiters and waitresses with all meals being prepared on-site. Relax in one of our common areas, the library, or our front porch while enjoying some coffee, or tea.
Take your pick of the many activities available in the community, or sign up for some of the trips off-site for even more fun.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Our locked and secured memory care center with coded exits and entrances helps to prevent our residents from getting lost or wandering outside. The smaller floor makes it easier for residents to go where they want to safely, and without feeling overwhelmed.
Life At The Knights
Friday afternoons offer an opportunity to share snacks and drinks during “Happy Hour”, although we never limit “happy” to only one “hour”. Many residents enjoy BINGO, card games, or other games, and they enjoy it more when they WIN!
Our wheelchair accessible bus takes residents on local shopping, dining, and casino trips, and more!

Safety
Pendants
Our residents are assigned a pendant to wear when they move in. This pendant can be pressed to request assistance from the staff, and is linked to the resident’s room number.
Bathroom & Shower Call Stations
Our bathrooms and shower rooms are equiped with emergency call stations, easily activated by pulling a cord, to summons the staff quickly.
Locked/Secured Memory Care
Our locked and secured memory care has coded entrances and exits for the protection of our residents who have dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Pager system
Our direct care staff (called “PCA’s) carry pagers, which notify them of pendant calls, emergency calls, or wander guard alerts. With this system, all the staff can rapidly respond to calls and emergencies.
Fire Safety
If the unexpected happens, our building is equiped with a fire alarm system with pull stations and extinguishers located throughout the home. We also have a building-wide sprinkler system, and full fire suppression system in our kitchens.
All staff are trained about fire prevention and evacuation on their first day, and at least annually afterward. Finally, our building has monthly fire drills, which everyone (staff and residents) is required to participate in.
